You left out Raleigh.

The Triangle CSA is significantly smaller than Charlottes CSA.

PS: Raleigh is bigger than Miami also...

Raleigh has such and undersized downtown. Tiny tiny.

A question Ral540 will never answer: what developments are going on in downtown Raleigh, Durhan & Cary?

Triangle CSA is 2,037,000. Btw.

I don't know what you're trying to prove other than population statistics have to be taken into context.

Charlotte as a city is much much larger no matter who annexes what. Just likecAtlanta is a much larger city than Cgarlotte no matter who annexes what.

Everyone else knows Charlotte is larger. No matter what top 10 list you show, doesn't change we're much larger... And our city, our true city - center city - is growing leagues faster than center city Raleigh (since you keep trying to gauge the real size of the city)

Go ahead, post a ranking list, Rakeigh doesn't even dominate its region enough it's region was split in 2.

Here ya go!
Combined Statistical Area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Triangle 2,037,430, 6.52% growth rate (fastest growth rate of any metro over 2 million)
Metrolina 2,493,040 4.94% growth rate

Raleigh population density 3,023.4/sq mi
Charlotte population density 2,663.2/sq m

Outside of an overbuilt 14 block uptown radius of dull, Charlotte is little more than a a churchy, sparsely populated, cow pasture compared to Raleigh

Question for the Charlatans: If Charlotte is supposedly bigger than Raleigh, then why are both Meck and Wake 1 million people? Could it be that Charlotte annexed nearly all of Meck whereas Raleigh has larger and more numerous suburbs along it's outer ring? In fact, Cary alone is TWICE the size of the NEXT TWO largest municipalities in ALL of Metrolina after Charlotte. Raleigh and Cary alone would be 600,000 and that's not including all the other booming counties along Raleigh's ring. Raleigh and Charlotte are affectively the same size city, only real difference between the two cities is Raleigh/Triangle is more desirable than Charlotte/Metrolina in every measurable way of what people really want in a city/metro

"Charlotte as a city is much much larger no matter who annexes what. Just likecAtlanta is a much larger city than Cgarlotte no matter who annexes what."

Except the Charlotte CSA is only 500,000 larger than the Raleigh CSA and the Atlanta CSA is over 3.5 million larger than the Charlotte CSA. You "forgot" to mention that part

Atlanta CSA: 6,162,195
Charlotte CSA:2,493,040
Raleigh CSA: 2,037,430

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combined_Statistical_Area

Raleigh and Charlotte are affectively the same size. Charlotte is not even close to being the size Atlanta. Nuff said

But Charlottes 14 blocks is like 4-5x larger than Rakeighs 14 blocks, much more populated, etc.

A fraction of hotel rooms, a fraction of population, a fraction of workers, a fraction of visitors, etc.

I'm not sure why you're so butt hurt downtown Raleigh is so Much smaller than uptown.
