Except the Charlotte CSA is only 500,000 larger than the Raleigh CSA and the Atlanta CSA is over 3.5 million larger than the Charlotte CSA. You "forgot" to mention that part

Atlanta CSA: 6,162,195
Charlotte CSA:2,493,040
Raleigh CSA: 2,037,430

Raleigh and Charlotte are affectively the same size. Charlotte is not even close to being the size Atlanta. Nuff said

THe triangle is closer to the triad in population. and 400,000 difference is nearly the size of Raleigh...

And that number is split between 3 Main areas. Charlotte plus our extra 400,000 is all centered around... Charlotte.

You need to get an education, get a real job and stop protesting police. Or if your still in grade school, beg your parents to be bussed to a nice school in Cary.

I bet I would fit in in Raleigh way better than you do. Al those edumacated granola kids, those gay hipsters, etc. young professionals etc.

I'm not sure why you're so butt hurt downtown Raleigh is so Much smaller than uptown.
What you'll find in downtown Raleigh and vicinity:
Best museums in the state
Best chef in the southeast winner
Best non-chain restaurants
The city's diverse LGBT establishments
One of the top 10 downtown city arts districts in the nation
Best live music
And soon….
The state's premier destination park
The state's premier train station.

What you'll find in uptown Charlotte's 14 block radius of dull:
Strip clubs
Concrete
Graveyards
Chain restaurants
A trolley
A deserted light rail platform
A Vroom Vroom Museum
….I guess it's still better than hanging out in Rock Hill or living in Gastonia or the rest of Metrolina….if only marginally

Is that why the CSA is called "Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill"? How far is Gastonia and Rock Hill from Charlotte? 29 miles and 36 miles respectively? Chapel Hill is 37 miles to Raleigh and Durham is 31 miles to Raleigh. Hmmm...Oh well, you tried

"THe triangle is closer to the triad in population. and 400,000 difference is nearly the size of Raleigh…"

Or the size of Atlanta city you might say…..but Charlotte's CSA is waaaay closer to the Triad's CSA than Atlanta's CSA, less than a million difference, and only 1 million larger than Greenville-Spartanburg's CSA. At least downtown Greenville is pretty and green, not cold, bland and sterile full of concrete and graveyards ….and it's closer driving distance to Atlanta

Atlanta CSA 6,162,195

Charlotte CSA 2,493,040 (4.94% growth rate)
Raleigh CSA 2,037,430 (6.52% growth rate)
Triad CSA 1,619,313 (1.89% growth rate)
Greenville CSA 1,395,624 (2.45% growth rate)

Every single MSA is used by its top most populated cities... And no, it's Gastonia is not 29 miles away from Charlotte...

Gastonia has a population of 79,000
Durham has a population of 245,000
Rock Hill has a population of 69,000

The Triangle and Triad have 3 primary anchors. Hence their name sake... Do you see Gastonia having its own MSA? No... Try and keep up. Why do you think it's called Triangle...?

Bottom line. Don't care what you call it or how you break it up. within a like radius of each city's downtown Atlanta is waaaaay bigger than Charlotte and Charlotte is about the same size a Raleigh….except Raleigh is more densely populated than Charlotte, really that's the only difference

Downtown Raleigh is no where near the density of Uptown. At all.

Raleigh is not as dense. The numbers you are using are the same that say Charlotte is bigger than Atlanta. GET BUSSED TO A BETTER SCHOOL

We were talking about MSA/CSA…you must be a product of Charlotte/Meck schools, no one else could be that dense
