I can judge Hagan because she has a record in the Senate and it's a pretty dismal one. As I said earlier. If you are really paying attention, then there is nothing there that warrants a return to the senate.

How many times have you brought up "partisan people who only vote their party." Lots of democrats broke party lines to vote McCrory/Obama.I think all of us excluding maybe the Cleveland guy do not just vote for our affiliated party.

It's the new rage these days for conservatives to say "Both political parties are crap, I'm an independent" yet they're the ones who vote for republicans 100% of the time. And they supposedly don't even like Republicans, they're Tea Party patriots.

No, what's cheap is ill-formed, uneducated opinions formed from failure to dig beneath the lying Republican ads, right-wing talking heads, and political labels in order to understand the real truth of the issues.

Tillis is a corrupt crook. Hagan is not the best, but she's way better than him.

I'd like to see a series of ads for Hagan that compare the lies about her with the truth. I have voted Republican many times but I'm just sick of this. Karl Rove has been running smears about Hagan for 2 years. The ad for Tillis that calls her a political hack & Tillis independent must be aimed at total fools. The personification of the Republican party in NC is McCrory, Berger, & Tillis. Then there's the ad with the young couple calling Tillis the champion of healthcare problems.

Tillis likes to say that he was a paperboy & a short-order cook. He's not reminding people that he's Speaker of the House because many people are very unhappy with their handiwork in Raleigh. Hagan has written legislation that was folded into other bills & passed. According to Tillis, Karl Rove, & the Koch brothers, it's Kay Hagan's fault that the economy collapsed & messed up the NC state budget, she hasn't written any bills when she wrote legislation that was folded into other bills and she's a party hack when she has broken ranks, and she's lying when she says that Tillis & Berger have slashed education. Never mind that they cut education every year until this year. This year they slashed money for teacher aides so districts have the option of firing the aides or using other money to pay for them which amounts to a another cut.

Obama lost NC in the last election. I do agree that many registered Democrats, better known in this state as Jessiecrats, abandoned the Democratic party. But they are not the ones complaining here with nonsense.

I have not said that I'm for the GOP. I haven't even said that I am voting for Tillis. If you think this, then it's just another example of being stuck in the false left vs right paradigm that I have spoke of.

But if you wish to bring up anything specific, then please do so. You accuse me of generalities, but you just made one yourself. Since you now think I'm uneducated, I'm not sure why you would care, but the offer is there.

I have a very, very hard time believing there is even a chance you wouldn't vote for Tillis.

In response to the other post you quoted me at;

Lots and lots of Democrats (here - Meck) that split Obama/McCrory regret sending McCrory to Raleigh. They're probably the loudest critics of McCrory/Tillis/Artpope. McCrory got a lot of votes for being a moderate and fairly progressive. Needless to say... That turned out not to be the case. Has the divide in NC ever been so horrible? Charlotte & Raleigh (the legislature not the city) have never had Such toxic, horrible relations.

Your beliefs are not under debate here by me. I will say however this is totally consistent with the mentality behind the false left/right paradigm.

I've stated here many times that I have previously voted for Hagen but won't do it now, and that I've did not vote for McCrory either time that he ran for governor or anytime he ran as Mayor of CLT, this seems to have gone completely ignored by you. And if you do a search on my history here, you will also find that I have been critical of Tillis allowing the Amendment 1 vote to take place. But then again, this would require you to accept that it is possible to vote or not regardless or the party they run with.

In other words, politicians don't get a free pass from me just because they belong to a certain political party.

I have heard very little about the NC-8 Cong. election. I do not even hear about town halls, are they hiding?

Ever since the GOP cut off the little finger of this mostly rural district that extended into urban Mecklenburg county, it's no longer competitive. I don't remember when that finger got added in the first place. In any case that moved about 35,000 African Americans into #1 in the USA gerrymandered 12th congressional district which guarantees the Black race a seat in Congress. By court order.

The 8th District is now as quiet as the 12th, 9th, and 10th all in the Charlotte area. Presumably the 9th, which Sue Myrick formerly sat in for decades and the 12th which Mel Watt formerly sat in for decades, have competitor from the opposite parties, but we all know how this will turn out.

(Interesting anecdote. The 12th is so gerrymandered that Sue & Mel used to be neighbors in downtown Charlotte.)
