We talked about his prospects here before. Says he will run for political office again.

He's not exactly what you would call a gracious loser.

Sometimes placing 2nd is more beneficial in the long run.

I'd really like to see him in State Govt. I think he could do a lot of good right here at home.

Although I preferred his stand on the issues over Ellmers, I agree... very unprofessional (and immature) behavior for Aiken. It's disappointing. This will come back to haunt him if he ever runs for public office again.

There are some things I like about Aiken but WOW!!! I have to agree his behavior was very inappropriate and disrespectful. And appearing on Stern's show and emulating the crass way Stern typically talks and acts is pretty sketchy for someone running for an important office who needs to keep level-headed regarding controversial issues as well as issues that are still important but would put most people to sleep. As an elected representative and former educator (does someone need a "time out"??), he needs to be setting a better example (which is in too short supply these days), and this is disappointing.
It makes me question his judgment.

Not that he's the first person who made a mistake or slipped up when running for office , but "not going on skeevy talk shows and cussing the opponent" is a pretty easy standard to meet. If he can't even handle this, how would he be expected to behave when the going really gets tough?

To be fair, he is correct.
