It's kind of funny in a sad way, Emissary. He spent 4 years going onto WCNC's Sunday morning public affairs show absolutely trashing Bev. Now he's spent 4 years tethering himself to every right-wing, mean-spirited thing that the Republicans can think up. Did he forget that he lost to Bev in 2008 because she carried Mecklenburg County?

I still think that the surest sign of the defeat in McCrory's future was the guy I was talking to in Ingles who said that he thought that HB2 is proof that the apocalypse is coming. Then he said that he wasn't happy that McCrory refused to sign for the casino. This man is the demographic that McCrory thinks that he has in his pocket.

Alot of the moderates of both parties who voted for him previously won't this time. I don't think the banjo-playing, "I love JeeBus", "Deliverance" crowd is big enough to re-elect him. Roy Cooper seems the the adult in the room, compared to "who's pulling my strings today Pat".

Why? The majority of people in NC support HB2. And according to Sundays N&O support has increased especially among women.
And don't worry about it here in Europe they don't care. Their current concern is seeing the back of Obama.

I'm unaffiliated. They don't know what a large portion of the population will do in November. Given the probability that the 3 top positions on the Republican side of the ticket will be Trump, McCrory, & Burr, I think that NC may go a lot bluer than 2008.

Who told you that? Are you a psychic? I live in NC & I have yet to run into any individual who thinks that HB2 is a good idea, much less like it.

I'm a Republican though will be switching to a Libertarian at the end of the year because the GOP is killing itself by being to conservative on the social issues. Pat McCrory I imagine will be a one term governor.

PyroZack - There were many moderate voters who pulled the lever for Pat McCrory thinking he would be a "moderating influence" on an increasingly right-wing general assembly. The opposite happened, with the governor being no more than a mouthpiece for the "batsheet crazies". When Nikki Haley almost seems like a democrat in comparison to Governor Pat, you know something is rotten in Denmark!
