IN KIND: If the exact same happened in every way with #44, your "blabber" wouldn't exist.
I'm an Unaffiliated voter. I've detested Trump since the 80s. That's hardly political. I heard about the way he publicly humiliated Ivana from an employee at one of his casinos. I heard about him not paying small contractors from a small contractor.

If you listen to him, he's a great businessman. That brings up multiple bankruptcies for 2 casinos. The rule that casinos operate under is the house always wins. How do you go bankrupt repeatedly?

Surely you jest about Obama. For 8 years whatever he was for, the Republicans were against. That included Obamacare. If you missed it, in 2008 the Republicans sang the praises of Romneycare. When that was adopted and became Obamacare, the Republicans were against that. That's why the Republicans have no viable alternative to Obamacare, to this day. Good, bad, or indifferent, it's their own idea.

Have you not had enough of legislation that goes against your own interests? The same fine folks who want to throw people off of health insurance passed tax reform that gave big breaks to the wealthy and then wanted to close the gap that it made in the budget by raising taxes on the poorest. When that didn't go over well, they just left the gap which should wreak havoc with social security in a few years.

But what does all of this have to do with North Carolina? Oh yeah, Tillis is running for reelection. How much do you know about the way he screwed over the residents in the I 77 corridor when he was speaker of the house in Raleigh?

The topic of the thread is Trump pulling the RNC convention from Charlotte. How smart is that? There's a good possibility that he gave North Carolina to Joe Biden.

No, his actions will speak volumes.

I'm anti abortion and anti open borders, so I'll never vote for a democrat if you could even call them that anymore.
In these NJ parts (as I'm in Southern NJ) the Trump casino-paying or not paying contractors facts/opinions are all over the place.
When one goes into business - many times it's called a "business venture" as there's no guarantee of success but from him having many businesses he's been successful on the whole.
Obamacare was a one party vote and rammed down our throats without knowing what was in it - ask Pelosi.
If Tillis was a democrat, you wouldn't mention him lol!
NC to me is a swing state, so I'd be surprised if Trump wins NC with all the people relocating there with democrat votes.
If the DNC had its convention in NC, the democrat governor would accommodate 1000% IMO.
Also if Trump didn't pull the RNC out of NC, the MSM would forever cite (fake news) that he had no support from the lessened by the governor attendance.

Is Trump perfect - ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Is Biden perfect - to the TDS'ers = YES and I will not like the radical change his administration will bring to the USA IMO.
So if NC is Biden country, why not have a second convention in NC (I "bet" the dems could afford it) as I'm sure he'd be accommodated with open arms. The dem platform, plus their crooked antics don't align well with me.

You don't like Trump, that's your right my friend.

I lived in South Jersey most of my life.

You don't know about Tillis. I would have brought it up regardless of his party affiliation.

NC is the ultimate purple state.

Biden is not radical. For years, in the Senate, he met with the NJ and PA senators about regional matters, regardless of party.

The Democrats are having their convention in Milwaukee. They are planning some regional events that will be beamed into the main event. 2 of the regional events are potentially in Charlotte and Philadelphia.

After Trump pulled the majority of the convention the headline in the Charlotte Observer was Good Riddance.

A Charlotte reporter asked the mayor of Jacksonville what his policy would be concerning Covid. He said that he was going to wait and see. Strangely enough, that's what the mayor of Charlotte and the governor of NC were saying. That's why I said that he probably lost NC.

You're welcome to your opinions, but do follow along.

In a new poll, a majority of Duval County voters oppose the RNC convention coming to Jacksonville — and support slips for Lenny Curry, Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump. https://t.co/ozcIr5i5px

Polls usually seem to be pretty close a lot of the times when there are plenty of polls conducted. The 2016 Election polls were pretty much right on the money. Polls are only a snapshot of the current mood, not to predict months out what will happen.

It's a little frustrating when people simplify the work done by, for example, pollsters. There is so much data and statistics behind those numbers. You have to be a really smart person to conduct polls that are of good quality.

Same for scientist and Doctors and other fields where you are required to be highly trained and use a lot of logic... It's annoying when people just throw out simple opinions based on nothing but their own simple reasoning.

This is off-topic, but you're being ignorant in all-caps.

The Average of polls conducted had Clinton winning the popular vote by 3.2%.

She won the popular vote by 2.1%.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...nton-5491.html

The states that decided the election (For example PA where Trump won by .7% of the vote) For Pennsylvania, the polls had Hillary at 46.2% and Trump at 44%. The final was Hillary 47.5% and Trump at 48.2% (with the Libertarian and Green parties obviously having lost last minute support to Trump).

Polls are generally pretty good as long as they are frequent enough and are high quality and the right questions are asked.

You could make an educated argument and say that the polls with Joe Biden in double digit leads are national numbers and his support is softer in the swing states that will decide the presidency and that it is most likely going to tighten back up in those states by November. So while Joe may be well ahead in the popular vote, Trump still has good odds with the swing states.

Or you can type in all caps simpleton things. Just trying to help you out with your own argument.

Please don't make such a big deal just because I capped 4 words, sheesh!
I stand by what I said, the polls were stating back then that Trump had no chance.
We'll see how the nation will fare if Biden is POTUS.
Otherwise, you and your fellow NC TDS posters should be jumping for joy that your governor did what he had to to get rid of Trump's NC convention - that was the intent IMHO.
