After listening to this audio I heard Tillis say something about June 30 and the state employees. Just trying to understand, was he referencing EB to June 30 also meaning that if this bill passes we wont see checks until then or what?
I told several of our legislatures that I am coming up there this weekend like a did last week. I have been told not to come up there due to the budget going on this week. I told Tillis's assistant that I was coming up there Monday Tuesday Wednesday...until something was done about our benefits. I told her that they were voted in to cut the budget not our throats. I was told that the solution of this crisis would be taken care of this week. So there will be no need for me to come up there in front of the press any longer so we shall see and if not I wil be up in the legislative building with my children and whoever else wants to go tell Phil Berger how sick and tired we are of living worse than the convicts in our prison system.
Keep those fingers crossed folks as it is high time for us all to be treated like people again and not like a pack of stray dogs.
I admire your persistence -- telling the Tillis assistant you'd be there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, until something was done about our benefits.
Tillis' office is definitely trying to create the expectation that action will happen soon. If true, I welcome it. Only time will tell.

Details will emerge in the House Rules Committee this afternoon
I do not mind to be drug tested really but I feel like it should be left alone and let us be responsible as 99.9% of us are. Personally I am against community service in that 2 hrs a week for 20 weeks is 200 hours I could hve been job searching. Personally I live in rural Franklin County which means I have to travel 15 miles to perform community service and 15 miles home. 30 miles a day at 5 days is another 40-45 bucks out of my pocket a week or 160 bucks a month that I honestly do not have.
I was responsible enough to hold a job for last 25 yrs and I am responsible enough to draw employment for the next 20 weeks as I look for a job.
In fact let the legislatures be drug tested for how they have acted for the last 6 weeks somebody must be on drugs.
Give us our benefits and leave us alone and let us do what we have been doing and that is get back to work.
