North Dakota Pictures (Bismarck, New Salem, Belfield: top school, shop, move to)

I LOVE looking at state picture threads!
Every state has something special about it... like that sunflower field!
And having ridden or driven through North Dakota a few different times, you can definitely tell the difference between western ND and eastern ND from these pictures.

Now this isn't much of a picture but I saw a few of these billboards on the freeway in North Dakota back in September 2007.


Needless to say, they made me....

Wow, in all the times we drove through the badlands, I've never seen that area with so much greenery. The wonders of a late and wet spring!

I finally had a chance to go through all of these photos. Thanks everyone for posting them. I love some of the landscapes. I used to do a lot of landscape painting and many of my works resembled some of the photos here--very minimalist, but wide-open. I love that sort of geography. I was painting North Dakota without even realizing it...
