How bad or good is it? How does it compare to popular communities like the Hideout or WLE?

Its ""The Hood "" with upscale prices .. (Penn Estates )

I agree.........Years ago it was the place to be. It was a peaceful, living with nature environment....with pool and lakes. Quiet and still, with nice contemporary homes nestled in.......
Now.......everyone we knew have left.
I had a wonderful contemporary home......I loved it tremendously. But, it did become a world I didn't feel comfortable in any longer. After 9/11 it felt like I lived in the inner city..........The entire area got very uneasy, noisy, and lost all its luster.

Well, it had a great location. In Anolomink...but on the edge of East Stroudsburg. High on a mountain and in a world of its own. A very cute lake to swim and boat in.
A great spot for getting into NJ fast for family visits.
However, things changed........
Gorgeous, beautiful homes.......placed nicely into the wooded areas.
Things were not the same..........after 9/11.
PS.........I understand when it first opened Joe Paterno lived there and also Whitey Ford.........

I advise you to go and see it for yourself. Don't listen to these ridiculous comments made by people on here. It's no "hood" not even close. It seems that some people like to bash certain places after they've moved out or some know nothing at all and like to simply make asinine posts. It's a very clean community with nice homes.

When people say that after 9/11 people moved in and it wasn't the same feel is because it became permanent residence for many families. Why is that a bad thing ? It's still a quiet & beautiful place to live.

Go for yourself and don't pay any mind to these overblown comments made over the internet. There's no greater power then seeing things through your own eyes.
