Hi everyone!

Was hoping to get some info on local builders. My boyfriend and I are looking to build in Arrowhead Lake and are trying to find reputable builder. We have been talking to Liberty Homes, but have had some issues already with getting people to call us back. So I was hoping maybe someone knew some good builders in that area to deal with

Thanks!!

Hi there folks! So great you are considering Arrowhead Lakes! It is a community I grew up near, and work in daily. They are making some wonderful improvements at their Island Pool, too! It'll be a great summer there!

Hi - Good luck! Building a home is a great adventure...
Give Pocono Builders Association a call, here's their website: Pocono Builders Association - Stroudsburg, PA
If things are as they were a few years ago, a builder has to be in good standing to be a PBA member. PBA also has an informational packet that they can send out to you with member names, tips for selecting a builder, etc. Also don't be afraid to call the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and of course the Better Business Bureau before you decide on a builder... Also compare spec sheets for materials used, and allowances for well depth (if applicable), lot clearing, etc. They can vary sometimes, and you can get stuck with a final bill of more than you anticipated.
(Years ago I used to work for a builder in the Poconos)

Sorry this may be more info than you were looking for! But anyway give PBA a call, they won't be able to recommend one builder over another, but they can give you the tools to help make an informed decision.

Good luck and enjoy your homebuilding adventure!

These are good resources, but is also always important to keep in mind that with resources such as the Better Business Bureau for example, a member is considered in good standing first and foremost if they have paid membership fees.

Our friend used LTS Builders. Very nice home! Been in business under the SAME name for over 30 years. I think their representative was named Jeff. Ask for him.

Good Luck with getting in contact with anyone @ Liberty Homes. I called to see if a rep can meet with me and I was told to call back in a wk because they were too busy... Get a load of that... turning business away. After going meeting with several builders, I settled with Falcon Crest. I had a wonderful rep (Marlene) , sure there was few bumps but she smoothed things over.
