Saturday Night Live is currently making fun of the recent vice presidential debate that involved Sen. Joe Biden and Gov. Sarah Palin, and they just did a 30-second skit in which Sen. Biden went on and on about Scranton being a "hell hole!" LOL! We're becoming a household name, heyna or no?!

Well, I just made another thread like this. The skit was way longer and they called Scranton a lot more than a hellhole.

Wow! I saw that. It was brutal. They made Scranton sound like the worst play on Earth. Poor Scranton, every time you guys get national attention it's to tear it to shreds. That SNL skit was the worst portrayal of Scranton I've ever heard. They pretty much compared it to a landfill.

I know, I just watched it a few times. Transcribed Biden's quote while I was at it:

Quote:
You know I get a little tired of being called an insider. I come from Scranton, Pennsylvania. And that's as hard-scrabble a place as you're gonna find.

I'll show you around sometime, and you'll see. It's a hell-hole. An absolute jerk-water of a town. You couldn't stand to spend a weekend there. It's just an awful, awful sad place, filled with sad, desperate people with no ambition.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, but me, has ever come out of that place. It's a genetic cesspool.

So don't be telling me that I'm part of the Washington elite, because I come from the absolute worst place on earth, Scranton, Pennsylvania. And Wilmington, Delaware is not much better.
And a couple of goodies from Palin: "[Government,] Stop trying to impose on my right to shoot wolves from a helicopter." And on gay marriage, "Marriage is meant to be a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers."
