Normie. No sweat on my end. Not sure where Fairfaxguy is coming from but he's not a concern.

Tiger Beer.
It really is hard to answer some of your on going questions. Suffice to say there are gangs in the DC Metro area. You can easily Google a number of stories regarding homicides, gang initiations and others that will give you an idea what is in the area. There are MS 13 as well as other gangs. Are they anything like you might see on a news special in LA, Cali? No they are not. Do they exist? Yes they do. Will you notice them when out in public? Unlikely. Every area can have crime, gang members and the vast majority of people won't even know unless something major happens. Even the gated communities see crime and still the majority of residents don't even know.
The gang members here, with few exceptions, don't go out looking for innocents to start something with. They know that the reprisals will be swift from local and federal LE.

Geesh. All I can say to readers of CD is that you get what you pay for. Annandale is one of the worst parts of NOVA. Just about as much poverty, crime and illegal immigrants as Sterling. I don't want to take sides, but personally, I'd rather live in Sterling than Annandale.

It's very hard to use, but people should go to CD's data area and get their information from there and not this message board.

Here, let's try some facts. Look at the top of Fairfax County. Great Falls, then just southwest of that Forestville (elementary school district). Very nice areas, then just southwest of that you start moving into the illegal immigrant pockets. See how the number of students who speak Spanish at home goes way up. This is the part of Fairfax County that borders Sterling. (Which is in Loudoun County.) http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/demogrp...ch-spanish.pdf

Now look at eastern Fairfax County. Notice the funny hexagon that juts in from DC. That's Falls Church city. Very nice area. Then south of that is fake Falls Church postal address. As you go south, that's Annandale. See how this area really has the Spanish at home. Bailey's Crossroads right in there down there too. Used to make the papers all of the time about illegals. Nasty area. Like I said, I'd choose Sterling over Annandale personally.

While the efforts to call attention to the off-topic comment were appreciated - including one particularly witty response whose deletion is regrettable - reporting the post is ultimately a more effective way of dealing with that situation.

That would be a refreshing change. Unfortunately, the rest of your post is opinion. Your link shows how many people speak Spanish, but it does not prove which areas are "nice" or "nasty." It also does not show whether or not they are illegal immigrants. It does not address crime or gangs, or show any evidence backing up the opinions you've expressed so far in this thread--it simply shows how many people speak Spanish.

Most importantly, it does not address how much graffiti may or may not be in an neighborhood, which is the topic of this thread.

This thread is now up to six pages, and I still haven't learned anything that would really help me identify MS-13 graffiti if I actually saw it. Do we each get to pick one thread as a New Year's Day wish that we'd like to kill?
