I couldn't agree more.
Can't Rep you again but that's a great analogy on both sides!

I voted this morning about 30 minutes ago (around 6:15). A short line, but in and out in less than 15 minutes. FWIW, the line for the scanning machine after you filled out your ballot was definitely longer if you were voting in the Republican primary than the Democratic one (different scanner for each party).

As a reminder, you don't have to be a registered anything to vote in the primaries. And, if you are registered, you could still choose to vote in the other primary. You just can only vote in one.

That doesn't surprise me. Republicans will probably have much longer lines because the Democratic Primary is more of a coronation than an election.

I'm interested to see how many Republicans exist in my precinct. I could probably count them on two hands.

I hope to go vote mid-day, when crowds are lower. Like many here, I am not happy with either side's candidates. My phone rang off the hook this past week, from #s out of state and marked "committee" - from pollsters, no doubt. I refused to answer, why should I share with them just how torn I am? I'm debating if I want to switch parties and to be the anti-vote against who I couldn't live with as president for just the primary. But, switching parties only because the candidates are acting irresponsible also holds great appeal, but then, the other side is not much better.

I think if a strong third party jumped in, I would give them serious consideration. It just depends on who.

Each party has a candidate that makes the other party visibly flinch. I remember wondering about Obama's safety when he was elected. I feel the same about today's front runners. They bring out the worst of the opposing party. How did we get here? Are these candidates (on both sides) really our future? Is this what they mean when they say you reap what you sow? I feel like this is a nightmare, but I keep waking up, expecting something changed over night, but it hasn't.

Never before have I felt like my vote doesn't matter......but, I am still heading to the polls, because I will only have myself to blame if a loser wins.

I got there at 5 or 10 after 6 and there was no line in my location(Vienna). In & out super fast. Good stuff!

I realized too late that I may be eligible for absentee voting since I work in Loudoun Co. and live in Fairfax Co. May look into that in November to try and avoid the long lines.

Clinton reminds me of the governor in the movie black sheep.

You're eligible to vote absentee if you work and commute 11 hours or more between 6 am and 7pm.
Absentee Voting*- Fairfax County, Virginia

I believe we are witnessing the worst presidential election year ever. The current top contenders for the next U.S. President are all inept and incapable on doing what's best for America. On the republican side, you have a racist and bigot businessman that has no experience on handling major issues domestically and abroad. On the democratic side, you a socialist who wants to make college tuition and Medicare free while taxing hard working Americans to death, and a former First Lady who is under investigation by the FBI because of her private emails contains sensitive information was leaked. In a country with 320 million people, unlimited opportunities and the land of the free, America's future for the next several years sadly looks very bleak.

That's one reason but there's 18 others according to Virginia's website.

Absentee Voting | Virginia Department of Elections

Reason 1C - Business outside County/City of residence on Election Day

Another valid reason is being pregnant.
