"The Block" on that strip down from K-Mart is pretty cool - it's a small Asian/fusion food court. Might appeal to a younger crowd than most posters on this forum. Hope they can make space for it in any redevelopment.

Anyone remember the gun range that used to be there? Old school gun range in the basement of a building, the targets were hand cranked, owned by a long time family who lived in the area - but I think they lost their lease and the family moved out of the area like 15 years ago. That was old Annandale. Remember there was a an old family owned military surplus store there too called Annandale surplus, just a little rag tag mom & pop store that sold military surplus and hunting gear. K Mart was the last bastion of a bygone era in this part of Northern Virginia, when people were kinder and nicer to each other.

Korean food is damn good though, and the overall prevalence of Korean businesses in Annandale adds a nice touch of cultural openness and tolerance that makes NoVa such a great place to live.

The Block, is a great spot. I would love to see them expand. I do however, miss the old snow cream - in the bus!

When I was dating my SO, I would take her there on the back of my motorcycle for a late night after dinner dessert. Rain or Shine.

I have to say good riddance. Disgusting inside and takes away from an otherwise decent strip mall.
