I was about to mention Warehouse. Others have told me it’s their favorite too for crab cakes.

I’m interested in the best too. I had some good ones recently at Hank’s Oyster Bar on Capitol Hill.

Hi, I’m visiting from the SFBA California and came here to start a thread about this too, but this thread is probably recent enough.

I’m bummed to learn that my favorite place for crab cakes, J. Paul’s in Georgetown, is permanently closed! I loved their crab cakes.

CLfan1977 likes this place too and maybe it’s worth a try.

But, are there any great crab cakes in the DC/Georgetown area?

Clyde's group does a pretty good crabcake. And the whole GAR chain (Carlyle, Sweetwater, Coastal Flats, etc.) makes good ones.

Yup , a few other spots are good but must people don't want to drive.

Stoney's Crab House on Brooms Island or Capt John's Crab house down by Cobb Island . Capt Billy's in Charles County isn't open for the season yet.

How about Captain Pell's in Fairfax? Are their crab legs any good?
