If so, would anybody be interested in carpooling?

We were traveling last month and left Fredericksberg, VA at 5:20 AM, by 5:50 am the traffic was bumper to bumper. It took us until 8:30 am to get to MD.

I regularly leave my house at 10 mins to 5am just to avoid the pile up. It takes me about an hour to get to my job in Rockville.

I know of a few people who've made commutes like that easier by renting a small studio or 1br apartment near work (in your case, in MD) and staying there Mon-Thurs.

That way you're only making the trip once per week, instead of 5x. Of course it would be tough to not see family members during the 4-day stint away, but at least you'll be well-rested and able to spend quality time with them on the weekend.

Is that an option in your situation? Especially if it is temporary, that is one way to do it.

Good idea but I don't think my companion would like it very much.
I'm just trying to find people to ride/drive with to make the commute from being boring and listening to the same cd's over and over again.
