I must say, I've previously only driven by Centennial Park in Munster, but last night my wife and I decided to go explore it since we were in the area. We were very pleasantly surprised. What you see from Calumet Ave. does not do it justice. There's great walking paths, places to fish, ponds to sit and dip your toes in, great scenery for an easy date night or place to talk, the golf course, and my favorite, the outdoor entertainment stage.

I second this. Although, it has run into a little financial mishap, it is MUCH better than the barren dump it was before. All they need to do now is to replace that HIDEOUS fence along Calumet and then make a website so that people will actually know a restaurant exists there! (and expand the restaurant hours)...other than all that, I am proud of the town for fulfilling this part of the comprehensive plan.
