Obviously realtor you arent very keen on demography. Newport Beach has an income average (in 05) of $130K, median under $100K (meaning half make less than what you consider poverty). You are inflating Newport. Yes, it has the counties most expensive real estate, but almost all the people who live there a)live in an Apartment, b)are house rich and cash poor (couldnt afford the same house they live in today in todays market), c)do not own the homes they live in, or d)live in drug rehab houses-since Newport is infamous for them.

yeah thanks for making it seem I didn't speak English that well!!! but yeah anywhere in a place like Newport Beach that is televised and stuff gives it that reputation of having the most luxurious things. but I doubt anyone has heard of Anaheim Hills outside of California! I do understand that you were just trying to say its a nice place to live, but there was no need to mention Newport Beach anywhere!

I doubt people in states like Ohio know about Anaheim Hills, but Newport Beach and Laguna beach thanks to reality television they do.

pootie562 sorry I wasn't trying to degrade you, everyone makes grammatical mistakes, it just made me laugh. As for people knowing where Anaheim Hills is, with the hundreds of cities in the LA-OC area there are local people who don't know where some cities are! A lot of people out of state don't even know where Anaheim itself is, let alone one of it's neighborhoods! People know Angels Stadium and Disneyland, but very few of them know the city that contains them. Many cities get lost in the shuffle here. When I'm visiting other states I generally say I'm from LA or Orange County. If they ask what city then I know they are somewhat familiar with the area and then I'll get specific.

Some of you are so right. Many of the locals, meaning Southern Ca., do know where Anaheim Hills is or where Anaheim or S.A. and so on. But, the further out of state you are the less these cities seem to be known. Travelling throughout the U.S and Canada, I've found some not even knowing where O.C is much less than the city of Orange or Anaheim. In Alaska, where I frequent often, when asked, I've now just say I am near Disneyland, Ca. Mostly, when any other nearby towns are mentioned, blank looks and head scratching seem to occur.

I know people that live in Orange and didn't even know where Placentia is! Placentia is truly a bedroom community but come on be aware of your surroundings. lol.

But I agree the desirable areas of North Orange County are less pretentious than Newport and South. Newport Beach really isn't too bad. Newport Coast is a different story and a lot of Newport Coast folks aren't from California. An article in the register said the Corona del Mar zip was the most giving in Orange County.
