What are the exact zip codes to avoid for those who are moving to Orlando? I've read posts that talk about areas or streets, but what are the zips?

Here are some I would avoid. This is certainly not a complete listing and there are pockets of good areas in these zip codes - as well as pockets of not so good areas in others. However, these are the ones with the 'worst' reputation. Most of these are west of downtown Orlando.

32805 - west
32811 - west
32810 - west
32807 - east

Wait until Nirvana-guy answers this post. There will only be one zip code to move to and it's in Lake Mary. There's not enough room on here for him to post them all.

Well, like I've tried to explain about Sanford unsuccessfully...

32773 is generally okay
32771 has some pretty nasty areas

Thanks VAFury...I'm not that familiar with Seminole County so I didn't try to include any zip codes from there.

I agree and would add:
32819 (South Orlando, Oakridge and Tangelo Park)
32808 (Northern part of Pinehills)

Exclamation Stay away from zips:

32835 - MetroWest

32811 - Kirkman and Conroy

34761 - Colonial drive area of Ocoee

32812 - Hoffner and Conway areas in East Orlando

32804 - Union park, Eatonville, Lee road

32839 - John Young and OBT areas.

32818 - Silver Star Road and NORTH Hiawassee road (this area is true inter-city ghetto)

32814 - Semoran

32809 - Landstreet road, Orange Ave, South OBT

32822 - Goldenrod road, Old Cheney Hwy - this area is the absolute pits

32814 - Colonial area

32808 - Includes Pine Hills (aka. Crime Hills)

32807 - downtown Orlando, close to Paramore (inter-city ghetto).

32819 - Tangelo Park (gangland)

32771 - VA Fury already put it here, but that is the Sanford bad areas (very large area).

Thank you all for the input. So are these areas mainly bad because of crime or are they slums or what is really wrong with them? Just in case you're wondering, the town I live in has ONE zip code so I'm pretty unfamiliar with this many zip code thing. I wasn't even too aware of it until I was checking out Jax.

Just out of curiosity, what is the criteria for listing these areas as bad areas?

Is it because poor people live there?

Is it because minorities live there?

The only 2 crimes that I've been a victim of in my life have been in Lake Mary. Should I add 32746 to the list?
