There are so many whiners in Florida that for some reason think the grass is so much greener on the otherside, maybe hollywood has done a good job lol. Just stop whining and do something already. Move out to greener pastures, maybe then you will have a better apprecition for Florida.

I know.....but I never asked for any life advice. Only certain people can do what they want.

Why did you start poor?
Because my parents started poor. My grandparents were poor--the Great Depression took what they had worked hard for. My great grand parents were immigrants who arrived here legally with the clothes on their backs and worked the menial jobs no one else would.

I never said Orlando didn't have a lot of poor people. I will say that the majority of them haven't used the legal options available to them to get ahead and as such have no one to blame but themselves.

The difference is not that we worked hard -took extra classes etc, and pushed to get ahead-- bravo! We earned our good position but ALL people are just as worthy as anyone, no more no less and must be treated with respect. Whether they make min wage or $300K a year they are PEOPLE. Some here have a true hatred of their fellow man because of their own opinion of how life should BE- they KNOW nothing of that person... but look down on them.
I was able to witness several wealthy people who are crooks-get dinged, no different of the kids at a corner selling drugs. I consider them the same, and I judge more harshly the one who had the opportunists and became greedy and vile. Having respect is not giving an excuse not to be ambitious and work at it- as you said dressing professionally might get you places- so you also never know that poor guy sleeping under the tree is another Beethoven right? stop looking down ...

There is hope TinyTrump. You and I sorta see eye to eye on this subject. People who make less should not be treated as less. A disney park employee is not less of a human than say some engineer.

Who said they were? No one on this thread EVER made that claim. I have NUMEROUS friends who work for Disney. I used to work for Disney. That said, most people I know who work for Disney either do so part time to supplement a career type job, or work in a capacity where they are making at least $15 an hour.

I think if the MiDDLe pay earners go up it would look better for Orlando, but the small upper class would have issues.
I was teasing Joey Falcon's comment about not knowing of anyone here who is doing well.

Asians having the highest average incomes in this country doesn't mean 100% of them do. I don't think you know how statistics work but that's okay.
