That is a nice house MagnumMike. If I can get a photo of our little shoebox here in Peoria I will try to post it. I love the back east homes, you guys are very lucky...if you could only get rid of the snow!
Thanks MC, I'll be waiting to see your home.
I also just realized by looking at one of the pictures.. I really need to wash my driveway!
Shadowcaver, that is a really beautiful picture of your home!
Thanks - really do like the style and setting, esp. w. the pond, which the wife says I spend way too much time messing with... Some people are fanatics about their lawns/grass, not me - my pond tho' is where energies are devoted. Have catfish, panfish, and some bass in there. Youngest boy child loves catching them. Dinner. Putting some sand in a beach area that dug out for them to play too.
I said I'd never live in a trailer until I moved here and lived in one of those big apartment complexes for the first time in my life. I couldn't sleep--could hear the guy next door snoring, the guys above me must have lifted weights and drop them on the floor, etc. Then a friend told me about this little trailer in the country. It is perfect while I am in college. I love it although I'm tired of not having space to create and looked at another house today. Not sure I should move until I finish college. I call this my little red caboose. I like the porch except ever morning my yard is full of guys--my landlord has his own contracting business. I miss gardening so mostly I grow things in pots. I thought moving to WA I wouldn't have to water--wrong. It is dry most of the summer and the grass turns brown.
Here's my home I sold to move to WA. Sometimes I wish I had stayed because I loved my home and not sure with the price of housing if I'll be able to afford to buy again.
SWB - Great pictures and you haven't even touched on the stone houses and barns in PA. I love seeing them when I visit. PA has wonderful architecture. No one here knows what a twin or rowhome is. Duplexes are something you buy both sides and rent one--they don't sell them individually.
I love the variety and regional differences. Great houses.
