I don't miss using a manual typewriter and I don't miss using an electric one, either.

I don't miss carbon paper or liquid paper.

I don't miss butter that we had to put in a plastic bag and mix up with yellow coloring.

I don't miss wrapping paper. I prefer the cute, colorful gift bags with lots of pretty tissue paper.

I don't miss the "Polly Red Top" thermos I carried in my lunch box in the 50s. I never could get the top off.

I don't miss 8 tracks but I do miss my Betamax.

I don't miss gangsta' white walls. Took too long to clean them.

I don't miss sitting and watching the network logo in amazement on the screen when we got our first TV.

I don't miss having to get up every morning to go to work. Retirement is its own reward.

No chocolate?! That's so depressing!

I don't miss the telephone party line (although sometimes it was great fun to listen in on our neighbors across the street ...)

[small voice] I still have dial-up[/small voice]

I don't miss paying a mortgage. It was a wonderful day many years ago when that last big check was written and handed over to the bank!

I don't miss grade school in its entirety.

I do NOT miss being a child with zero opinion while adults called all the wrong shots without having all the information.

I don't miss slow Internet. I definitely don't miss being in an Internet-less world. Honestly, what did I do before the Internet? Read a book? I do that online now. Lol.

I don't miss having to wear thick glasses at all, that would dig holes into my nose.

Seconded!

I don't miss when my grandmother's house was heated by oil. The whole place smelled awful! It was amazing when she switched to electric! We could finally breathe, LOL.

I don't miss the puke green, mustard yellow, and pissed off orange colors that used to permeate furniture and electronics for awhile.

I don't miss big, boxy cars. Cars are so much more elegantly-designed these days.

I don't miss shopping/ordering out of catalogs.

I don't miss wearing a shirt and tie, or a suit, to work.

I don't miss never seeing concerts because I didn't have the time to camp out in front of the ticket outlets for days.

I don't miss snow.

I don't miss disco.

I don't miss "The Little Rascals" that my youngest brother used to watch on TV all the time. God I hate that show.

I don't miss bell bottom jeans.

I don't miss...

smoke filled bars and restaurants,
not being able to find vegetarian food when dining out,
George Bush,

... and yes, my old electronic leash (cell phone).

I don't miss the days when a diagnosis of any kind of cancer was a death sentence. Same with many other diseases. Medicine has come so far since I was a kid. There's still a long way to go, but just think about how much better our world is with modern medicine!

I don't miss school, any of it, at least for me a waste of time, didn't learn anything apart from how to write and add up a few numbers (like 1+1=2). But I ended up going to University, so what does it even matter?
