Good peeve...
We're going through that with Lowe's right now. We bought some items and and contracted through them for some work to be done and their communications skills are quite inept. Seems the left hand there does not know what the right hand is doing situation. It's taking them 6+ weeks to do a 48 hour job.
My kids (DH as well) are at that age where the selective auditory awareness has kicked in.
I tell them once and follow up with a text. When they have a request/school function/party ect, I require 24 hours notice. Verbal and written.
I know it sounds silly but after years of last minute notices from them, I was fed up. Now, unless it's an emergency, no notice-no whatever it is they need. So far it's working!
Timely peeve, Jezer. There seems to be a lot of news lately about some people refusing to communicate and it's sure causing unecessary worry for folks.
