Good morning peevers.

Welcome to the new week. It's sunny but cool here. Yet another disappointing English summer. Still, I know that many in the Southern USA would swap.

Going back to our trip in France, one thing that was frustrating was trying to negotiate one particular city where our daughter was studying. Confusion ruled at times!

Today's peeve;

Navigating unfamiliar places.

Been there and done that. Boston comes to mind. I was in a total state of confusion.

Yeah downtown Atlanta comes to mind for me.......omg what a nightmare! Seems like every other street is named "Peachtree" something or other, very confusing.

Oh yeah I hate that. I swear some town planners must have been drunk when they designed the street layout and the names.

Best bet, if you can, pick up a city map when you get there

I am a bad map reader.

I would much rather drive then figure out where we have to go.

That's a good one I often wonder how people travel in cities (including the one I work in), when streets and numbers are not posted sometimes. It's frustrating. At these times, I would rather be the passenger.

Good peeve. I hate navigating unfamiliar places! And I hate hate asking for help because helpful help can often turn into unwanted help!

I got so lost and confused in Boston. I didn't go more than 3 blocks away from where I was staying alone, lol. Once I got completely lost and my phone wasn't working and by a total stroke of luck I ran into some friends of mine who guided me back to my original destination. If it weren't for them, I would have been SOL. Bostonians are not very good at giving directions! Lol.
