Good morning!!! Today is my hubby's Birthday

What is your current or most recent obsession (tv show, book, hobby, food)? Baking homemade bread.

What pulled you in and kept you hooked? The taste pulled me in and the variety and my learning has kept me hooked

Do you watch the Olympics when it's on? Not really..I don't watch TV very often.

Do you have a favorite event? In the Summer I like to watch the gymnastics. In the Winter I like the Figure Skating. Either way I only catch some of it here and there if I watch any of it at all.

In honor of the largest diamond being found in 1905:

Do you wear any jewelry? I wear the ring my husband gave me when we are dressed up and not working. Other than that, I don't like jewelry.

Did you keep up with the OJ Simpson trial in 95? No...I was too busy working about 80 hours per week. I didn't have time for someone else's life?

What are/were your thoughts on it? I don't like our courts and legal system. It ticks me off what is allowed to go on. For my health I stay away

Awards season is upon us...

Do you watch the broadcasts? No. Once in a blue moon, I will ask my hubby to turn the volume on the TV for me(he wears wireless headphones) so I can watch what he is watching but that is rare. When he finally does turn the volume on for me I usually ask him to turn it off 5 minutes later TV bores me.

Which program is your favorite, if you have one? (Oscars, Grammys, AMAs, Golden Globes, Other) N/A.

I highly recommend Midnight in Paris if you have not seen it. It is a nominee for best picture. Thank you....I'll have to see what it is about

Happy Hump Day!!!

Mornin' all!

Today's Question:

What is your current or most recent obsession (tv show, book, hobby, food)?
Napping

What pulled you in and kept you hooked?
I don't sleep well at night.

Do you watch the Olympics when it's on? Winter or Summer?
Seldom

Do you have a favorite event?
I can watch gymnastics, and most of the winter sports look fun, but I'm not much of a sports person.

Extra Credit:

In honor of the largest diamond being found in 1905:

Do you wear any jewelry?
Always

If yes, what do you wear and what significance does it have?
Wedding set. On specific occasions I wear several rings, wide bracelets, ankle bracelets, and an extra necklace. I love to go to those all decked out.

Bonus Question:

Did you keep up with the OJ Simpson trial in 95?
I was aware of it, but I wouldn't say I kept up with it.

What are/were your thoughts on it?
I was attending college in Gary Indiana at the time. The most lasting impression I have is how, in the student union where Black and White students routinely chatted together around the TV, on the day of the verdict, the room was sharply divided by race.

Just Because:

Awards season is upon us...

Do you watch the broadcasts?
Sometimes, but it's not a priority.

Which program is your favorite, if you have one? (Oscars, Grammys, AMAs, Golden Globes, Other)
If any, usually the Grammys, sometimes the Golden Globes.

I highly recommend Midnight in Paris if you have not seen it. It is a nominee for best picture.
I want to see The Artist. Big silent movie fan, me.

Today in History:

1905 - World's Largest Diamond Found
1924 - First Winter Olympics
1947 - Al Capone Dies
1971 - Manson and Followers Convicted
1995 - Defense Gives Opening Statement at OJ Simpson Trial

Have a good one everyone!

Today's Question:

What is your current or most recent obsession (tv show, book, hobby, food)?
Dexter!! The season is over now

What pulled you in and kept you hooked?
It's a bizarre show but the main character, Michael C. Hall, is what drew me to it in the first place because he used to be on "Six Feet Under" and I really liked that show too

Do you watch the Olympics when it's on? Winter or Summer?
No not usually

Do you have a favorite event?
I do like the skating

Extra Credit:

In honor of the largest diamond being found in 1905:

Do you wear any jewelry? yes

If yes, what do you wear and what significance does it have? no significance, I just like it, I wear a lot of different costume jewelry

Bonus Question:

Did you keep up with the OJ Simpson trial in 95?
No not really but I did see some of it

What are/were your thoughts on it?
He's a murderer!! And he's finally where he should be

Just Because:

Awards season is upon us...

Do you watch the broadcasts? no

Which program is your favorite, if you have one? (Oscars, Grammys, AMAs, Golden Globes, Other)
I might watch a little of the Oscars

I highly recommend Midnight in Paris if you have not seen it. It is a nominee for best picture.

Good morning all!!!

Today's Question:

What is your current or most recent obsession (tv show, book, hobby, food)?
Planning trips...closest one is a cruise in Feb...have others in the works but this in the only set in stone.

What pulled you in and kept you hooked? I get my wanderlust from my Grandfather....before one trip even begins I'm looking for a new adventure.

Do you watch the Olympics when it's on? Winter or Summer? Nope

Do you have a favorite event? Olympic napping!

Extra Credit:

In honor of the largest diamond being found in 1905:

Do you wear any jewelry? Yes

If yes, what do you wear and what significance does it have? My wedding set of course and all my favorite (and valuable) pieces were bought by my DH...who does well btw picking things out. Nothing big like the Hope diamond but good quality that matches me!

Bonus Question:

Did you keep up with the OJ Simpson trial in 95? Bits and pieces

What are/were your thoughts on it? I found it facinating to watch...I'll leave it at that

Just Because:

Which program is your favorite, if you have one? (Oscars, Grammys, AMAs, Golden Globes, Other)
I could not possible care less

Today in History:

1971 - Manson and Followers Convicted-I was very young at this time but remember my parents going on and on about how horrible this all was. As an adult I've read about it and agree with them. I do pay attention to his parole hearings.....very spooky man!

Have a great day everyone!!
