I lived on Camano Island in WA for a year and have wonderful, but bittersweeet memories of that time. As far as the place and atmosphere, it is by far, my favourite place to have lived.

Was wonderful to see the sun setting on Puget Sound every day; seldom was there fog or rain. I lived on 8 acres of orchards and hills and it was lovely.

Sweet. We don't have any children but we have a lot of shorties hanging around. There are three girls that spend the night with us every other month. (It usually turns into the weekend.) I had them on Good Friday and I did an Easter egg hunt for them. They decided to do one for me after only 4 hrs. of sleep on Saturday morning. I just saw 2 up in the light fixture in their bedroom. I love when the shorties come, they make me

I felt that way living in the Sierra Nevada's in Calif. We lived close to Strawberry by the Donner Pass. There was a graveyard out there in the middle of nowhere and beyond that were curious boulders with perfectly ground holes in them. Indians? I spent a lot of time there with my dog. (The same doberman). I had to leave because I wanted to be 2k miles away from my ex. but I missed the mountains for a very long time. I think I still prefer Maine. It has those "things with the red coats on them" (lobsters). DH's 90 yr. old grandmother called them that.
