I remember going to rock concerts every weekend and usually buying a tee shirt there and wearing to school on Monday. This was in the 70’s and it was fun to see who went to what concert that weekend by the tee shirt they were wearing.
Back then this was the only way to get a rock tee shirt. They didn’t have tons of clothing stores everywhere people lived simply.

I think that's the reason I could not grasp what was said in the King James Bible--it was written in Elizabethan English. I could read a verse and have no idea what it really meant.
I remember when we could find chicken wings at the store, after staying in line for 3-4 long hours. Because I had anemia I would faint and collapse on the ground. My mom used to take me with her so we could buy 2 ratios. At one point, because I fainted all the time after 2 hours or so, she said that it was better not to come anymore. I was not able to help, unfortunately. I had to go home alone after recovering a little and she was able to buy only one ratio, most of the time.
When I emigrated to the US and realized that here, chicken wings are considered fabulous and served at parties/or restaurants, I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a joke.
I was surprised when chicken wings became a desirable food only a few years back. Today there are scores of sauces, rubs, etc. in which to cook them and they are almost a delicacy. My MIL used to cut off the tips and fry them along with the rest of the chicken back in the 1960's. She called them "little legs".
^That's very interesting, thank you. In New Mexico, one still sees quite a few markers with crosses and flowers. In the rural areas of California I used to see them, but there aren't that many nowadays.
I see those markers here in Nebraska. No flowers except maybe a few artificial flowers.
Interesting. I never knew where the word "antimacassar" came from before. Thanks.
