I remember Dick, Jane, Spot and Puff....sort of..
I think I remember a story where they got a new rocking horse so they were going to paint up the old one
and give it away...it looked so good they decided to keep the old one and give the new one away,
even then I thought "what the heck??".....(sorry if my memory is so bad that the story is actually
not as I recall it....maybe it wasn't even Dick & Jane.....the 50's were a long time ago.)
Fits the I'm so old part, maybe not the I remember though..

Those stories bored me even as a first grader. I think all the other kids thought so too. I forgot about Sally.

I think the kitten was yellow with stripes. The dog was white with black spots. Some imagination on the part of the author.

I remember the dog in the "Our Gang Comedies" much better. He had a ring around his eye and his name was Pete.

Now that's a great name for a dog.

I remember the Alfalfa character from the Our Gang series. My Mom always said you had an Alfalfa if your hair was sticking up in strange ways!
