2 peeves

Last week on a particularly bad day, I kicked what I thought was part of a roll of plastic but behind it was a cinder block and ouch that hurt my foot. Its still hurting and I hate the thought of having to go in and get it looked at. I did some reading and am taking some meds I have on hand. The prednisone has helped more than the motrin did thus far. Bad bruises do take time to heal, maybe I will give it more time.

Oh and the contractor I met to look at the house hasn't gotten back to me in a week, so I still don't have a firm estimate. He came recommended by 2 realtors, and you don't pay him till he is done. But I hate chasing people before they even start work. He isn't cheap but seems good with detail and probably does know what he is doing. I understand being busy and all, but I think he should honor his word or at least write me a line and say he didn't forget me and would be in touch soon. Why are these people all the same way. So I've got to arrange to get back up there and meet a couple more next week. The circle never ends.

I didn't take anything for my broken toe. I just sucked in the pain and moved on with life.

I'm not a &^%$ in regards to pain, if that is what you are thinking. I went shopping right after it happened cuz I had no choice, no food in the house. I've broken a toe before too, I taped it up, that's all the doc would do. I walked around on a broken ankle for a week before I went in to see about it. I took the Prednisone because of the possibly of inflammation in the joint capsules and ligaments.

I've gone 6 mo's before finding out that the pain I felt in my shoulder was a crushed collar bone..
Sometimes I'm just too @!~X"> stubborn to have things checked out.

I've done that too...let's just put it this way, it wasn't the best way to deal with it.

It came to the point where the pain could not be ignored.

Ignoring pain by "sucking it up and moving on with life" can cause lasting permanent issues if you don't seek treatment promptly ....
