Buenos Dias! My thoughts and many prayers go out to the tornado victims.

Hopes I'm praying for your friends too. I don't know why, but those horrible things seem to always happen in bunches.

The painters have returned to the house across the street. (It had been too windy to paint.) So today's the day I get to see paint dry.

I forget which comedian did a bit about idiots who are outside in hurricanes because they are in such great shape. You can be in the best shape in the world but if a Volvo hits you while you are strapped to a telephone pole it won't matter much.

Seriously, I live in the NE and I know how to drive in snow. Doesn't mean I venture out in blizzards! And a blizzard is nothing compared to what is going on. Seriously txt, you get dumber by the day sometimes.

I should ask this question in the thread regarding spoiled kids just to get their goat - but I'll refrain and ask here.

Cell phone family plans - anyone have AT&T? My DH has his phone with AT&T and DS and I have little plans with kajeet. I don't really ever use my phone, although it bothers my DH when he's out of town and can't text me. Well, he can but at 10 cents a text he won't.

I'm thinking about adding a line to DH's plan for our son. The last two years he has been a great sport regarding his phone. And the lack of texting. He has to pay for a portion, so he doesn't text since it costs him.

If we add him to the plan, I'll just have to figure out how much we'll make him pay.

Just wondering if anyone else has that sort of plan with AT&T and if they are happy.

We don't have AT&T but one thing to look into is to see if your DH's company offers a discount...Many companies have corporate rates that can save you some money on your personal accounts. Something to look into anyway.

I don't think they do - but I'll have him ask. They just reimburse up to $75/month if you use your own phone. Otherwise they will issue a phone of some sort. But suppose it's possible there is a discount - can't hurt to find out!

Sorry JK, don't know anything about AT&T. Except, out here anyway, (CA and AZ) their coverage is terrible. No coverage, no signal, dropped calls. Total nightmare.

That said, I think it's terrific that you want to upgrade his phone. I'm a big believer in rewarding kids who deserve it.

Update on house painting: It's a nice, cream color. Hooray. The trend here is toward purplish-brown that I don't much care for on a Spanish style house. Which this is.

Thanks Dew

He does deserve it I think. Not to mention, his phone now is really so horrible that he doesn't have it half the time or remember to charge it. Thankfully he had it last week when the battery on his Jeep died. He could call someone to come give him a jump.

Yesterday he totally serviced the lawnmower. New spark plug, new oil, fixed the self propelled feature as it wasn't working very well. All without being asked. Pretty good kid in my book.

You hit the jackpot. (And obviously raised him well.) I love kids like that.

Hypthetically, a mod tells you privately. Hypothetically, of course.
