Good Morning All!

I'm trying to figure out the kids schedules for the upcoming school year, sheesh it's complicated. Why are the time commitments for young kids sports so crazy? I really want them to do year-round swimming, but the local teams want a 6 day-a-week commitment. That's insane! How are you supposed to fit in anything else?

Well that would "kill" two birds with one stone in the eyes of the child-haters.

Ooohh. You missed it then. She's back. Yesterday got really hot. I deleted a post which I was afraid would have gotten me banned. There was a lot of free entertainment over there.

Oooh...I did miss it - F&B or Diet/Fitness? She is definitely entertainment worthy. I can't get it through my head that people think like this....but apparently they do....

ETA - found it...

Big news here is IKEA opening. I'll wait until things settle down before I check it out. I avoid crowds whenever possible. Never been to one so it should be interesting.....I will say the building and signage are an eyesore IMO. No missing it that's for sure though.

Could they have made a bigger deal about it on the news? I am so sick of hearing about it, the traffic problems it would cause, etc.

Some lady with a BABY had been camping out in line since either Saturday or Sunday. Apparently the first 38 got free couches - they showed the couch this morning on the news. White as white could be! The anchor guy said, "White couch? Really?".

I remember they did the same thing when Krispy Kreme came to town - and American Girl. I don't get people who will wait in line for hours and hours just to spend money. And with a baby??? Never in a million years. LOL at the white couch. To this day I wouldn't want a white couch -even if you gave it to me.

I know! They were saying that maybe people could put slip covers on it or plastic!

At what point was their time worth more than the value of that couch is what I want to know.

We had a white couch, lol.

People would look at it, roll their eyes and I'd say, "We used to be yuppies."

Dew - If I had a white couch it would actually end up being more.....Macie-colored..... Not to mention, no one in my house is neat enough or careful enough with a cup of coffee etc (including me). It would be my nightmare. I can appreciate how nice they look in magazines or other people's homes though....as long as no one hands me a glass of red wine and offers me a seat.. Can I mention how much I love dark leather furniture?
