Ah....my kids could eat hibachi every week...All of our birthdays are within 1 month of each other (actually 3 of us are in 1 week)...As the kids have gotten older, we just go out to dinner once to celebrate them all (then each person gets their fav homemade meal on their actual Bday...) Kids still always choose Benihana...

Have you ever had a Korean BBQ? It's similar and SOOO good.

I love Benihana. But no one in my family likes it, so I don't get to go a lot.

It kept the kids entertained while we ate. I could see it becoming a favorite spot for birthdays. They really liked it.

I am so non-traditional that keeping up with what seems expected in that thread gives me a headache. What I don't understand is why people get so bent out of shape regarding all this tradition. It just seems to cause strife and lots and lots of fighting, and cost a boat-load. I just don't get it. We got married in the garden of an old country inn under a magnificent old oak tree, my mum and dad walked with me, I had no attandants. We just chose exactly what we wanted, and didn't give a rats behind about what anyone thought. We did what we wanted, and had a wonderful day. So many weddings seem so stressful.

A big, big hug.
Aww..thanks.

It was actually the running joke that I would make my bridesmaids wear pink. My mother took one for the team

My wedding was the last time I could remember her being healthy and "up" for a full day and night of fun so it was fitting to bury her in it. It didn't hurt that all the flowers and everything were pink so she matched.

I have an idea I'd have liked your mom. Women who are generous enough to "take one for the team" are the good ones.

She was the nicest woman I have ever met. I don't just say that because she was my Mom, she really was. Always sweet and innocent.

Poor woman was ill prepared for the hellions my brother and I were
