According to Wikipedia

Jana and John-David will be 22 in January
Jill is 20
Jessa is 19

John David might be the one with the tow truck, so he's doing something to earn money at least.

I have no idea what any of the girls are doing, but IMO they should be doing something toward furthering their education or gaining work experience. Anyone at that age should be.

The rate of miscarriage increases with the age of the mother. Around half of all pregnancies in women over 40 end in miscarriage.

Not that I think it would be particularly bright to try again!
I looked at other sources online and found those that said 50% and higher, and those that said up to 80% or 90%. So, the doctor who said 93.4% is not all alone.

And to be clear, she was talking about over age 45. From age 40 to 45 even, the risk climbs a lot.

Michelle Duggar was 43 when she had her life-threatening 19th pregnancy. Now she is 45, so ...

He said they don't believe that a college education is necessary for everyone and that a lot of people don't even use their degree in the job they end up in.

He said if any of their kids want to pursue a career that specifically requires a degree, then they can go to college. He expects that there will be a mix of kids not going and some going ... but it seemed clear that he figures only a few of them will go to college.

They strongly favor their kids going into their own businesses, which is what the oldest boy did.

He said they encourage the kids to learn skills at every opportunity to prepare for their future. They showed some of the older ones doing some sort of online courses that seemed to be Christian-affiliated. Who knows if they are actually accredited though?

I read tonight on the Duggars blog that Jill was pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nursing...

I was talking about the non-college aged girls. The six of the nine girls who are still minors.

Great, on-line nursing school. I would hope that they require some sort of real internship and practicum work in a hospital, supervised and taught nursing skills face to face.

Really, I am surprised none of them are married. I think those olser girla are all too busy at home to think about their own lives and future.

You may have hit on something here. The oldest (Josh?) is what, like 23-24 now? He's already marreid with 2 kids. How are these girls getting to that age w/out being married with children yet?

My money is on keeping them at home as long as possible so they can raise their younger siblings.
