I'm Royally p@@ off . From my many postings, I've moved about 10 times in the past 2-3 years away from noisy neighbors. The Cops have been called and so has management repeatedly. From my last apartment, we stayed less than one year after management did nothing and the police were called ...a lot . On two neighbors. One stopped with the noise somewhat, but the other and Her teenage kids , no . So we ended up moving yet again.
I go to pick up my child and a cps worker tells me a case has been opened for child abuse at my last address which we've moved from about three months ago. I Have an idea who it is and why it was done which is just f'ed up. Im not sure if I sh tell them it's because of this lady's anger or this whole thing is unfounded. Can't even think straight right now . Neighbor claimed to hear screaming and me hitting my child with an object. Through concrete, really? I'm Just p@@@ the heck off

Unfortunately, at this point, there is not a thing you can possibly do except cooperate with CPS. I am sure it is very difficult and beyond frustrating however, if you have done nothing wrong once they investigate then it will end up being a much smoother process for you.

You can surely mention to CPS about this lady's anger or whatever towards you however, it will not stop them from investigating it thoroughly. If a case has been opened they have no choice at this point but to follow through.

You might want to post this in the Parenting forum where they may be able to assist and answer questions you may have. I am not sure how the Renting forum applies to your situation.

Good luck

I know you're pissed, but if you did. Others wrong just let CPS do it's thing and it'll be over eventually.

News report comes on the radio, "People be aware, there is a crazy person driving the wrong way on the highway!", to which the driver of the vehicle says.. "what do you mean ONE? They are ALL crazy and they are ALL driving the wrong way!"

I'm sure CPS deals with this type of retaliatory report all the time and are pretty good at recognizing it after initial investigation.

Cooperate, mention calmly you had problems with former neighbor, and let the matter resolve itself.

Why have you moved 10 times in the last 2-3 years?

10 times in 3 years is extreme.. I know that in 10 places you've lived, not all of the neighbors were loud and intrusive.

As my Father always says. If you continue to have a problem with other people, then the problem isn't other people the problem is yourself.
