i always wanted 3 maybe 4, between ages of 14-17 years old. Ended up with two boys, and knew having a 3rd would really be pushing it for me in terms of age, energy and finances!

I can't say I ever gave this much thought when I was a teenager. Some of my friends were teen moms, so that about closed up shop on any thought of children period for awhile.

After I graduated high school, the number moved between 0 and 2.

Once I had a kid in my mid 20s, it was clear 1 was more than enough and that's all I have.

When I was 16 and 17, I most certainly wasn't giving my future number of offspring any thought.

After getting married, we decided on two. After the first pregnancy resulted in twins, we decided we wanted to go through the experience again, and not limit our brood to two born at once. Plus, the twin were a planned c-section (they were both breach, and at 7+ pounds each they weren't going to flip) and my wife wanted to experience a natural childbirth. Well, number three refused to come out after two days of inducing, so he came out the same way as the first two.

Sometime nature has other plans than you!

Zero. The idea of some little one resembling me was never going to happen. I ended up with female yorkie (Ripley) and its been the best present my sister ever gave me.

As a teen, probably 2 or 3. Now that I'm 24 I'd like 4, maybe 5. Larger families are better, if you can afford it.
