I did a search and only came up with towns people feel are liberal. I'm retiring in a couple of years and have been to various parts of PA on vacation. I like what I see but don't know much about the areas. I am pretty right wing politically and am wondering what towns/counties are mostly conservative. Thank you.

Pretty much any town between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, except State College. Have your pick!

Just about anywhere more than 15 miles from any city of 50,000 or more in Pennsylvania is pretty conservative. There are some wonderful scenic places in Central Pennsylvania you might enjoy! I hope you find what you are looking for.

Even State College is pretty conservative politically as college towns go. Someone in the NY forum wanted to know where near Ithaca right-wingers are welcome, and I told him State College.

Maybe you'd like Smethport. Very little publicly owned land in that immediate area (the Allegheny National Forest is at the other end of the county), pretty houses, no college nearby to serve as a liberal hangout.

I've found that rural PA and it's towns, small and mid-sized are quite conservative. Liberal political views seem to be more prevalent in the larger cities and near colleges. Jim Carville said something about that a long time ago - something about PA being like Alabama, except in its larger cities.
