there is a huge difference between going about it on your own vs great professionals with their connections and talent who do this as a profession , especially with real estate . .
What's the best way to go about finding said great professionals?

well there you go. Kudos.
Took me ~34 years to reach 1M, and over the past 4 months alone, i've seem my NW increase by about 45k (ie. 5%), so I strongly agree with the notion that the first Million is the hardest to collect.

with regards to the "great professionals", i think it's important to ALWAYS be involved, and make the final decisions yourself. you can rely on these "pros", but ultimately, you should care about your money more than anyone else.

Also, bernie madoff was once considered by many as a "great professional". We all saw how that played out....

You're right. A lot of life is perspective. Thanks for reminding me of that.

You're only 22. You're doing ok. If you really want to kick butt, follow the path laid out by Mr. Money Mustache. At the rate you're going, you could be financially independent by age 30 if you play your cards right.

$30000 yearly
$170000 NW

We just recently started up our business here so I'm projecting a lower income this year. Hopefully that will increase over time and as business grows. Before our move, yearly income was roughly $60k a year.
