Wow. Surprised by this one. They are usually very active in that space.

Ugh! I am not the target demographic for that store but I thought the store front was very attractive and was a great addition to the streetscape. A big loss.

Hadn't the Japanese fast-fashion retailer already closed its stores in the 'burbs?

I never shopped at Uniqlo but it always seemed like it was doing ok. Not good news at all.

All, except Montgomeryville Mall. They also closed several other U.S. stores, primarily in Malls.

Not to be too critical, but... $400M and this is what the city gets?? And it will take a year to reach 85% occupancy?

There are some good food options and the AMC will be nice, but most of the new retailers (minus a few) are pretty much low-end useless 1980s mall stuff, basically what was there before...

How was PREIT not able to get BB&B, Container Store, Pottery Barn, Home Goods, Best Buy? Is the market that bad, or is this venture just a flop due to delays, no money, bad marketing, etc.?

And to clarify, no I am not asking for a Louis Vuitton store, I am asking for a decent shopping district where you could decorate your home and maybe get a nice new outfit, doesn't seem to be the case with this...
As I said I would look into how the other stores in your list are doing. Personally I don't like dealing with retail stocks because of built-in volatility. Anyhow the Container Store is a "meh" ever since its 2016 IPO. I.e. it has lost value the whole 2-3 years since then. Pottery Barn as you probably know is WilliamsSonoma and HomeGoods is TJX. Of the two of those two I would have liked to have seen Pottery Barn.

Yes, they re-imagined the store front and made that storefront almost what it was when it was the speciality clothing store, Jackson Moyer. Another store I still miss and have fond memories of.

You have to look globally wrt retail just like you have to wrt everything today. Retail is so fixed in with trends and human whims. What looks successful one minute in retail can change almost instantly. So who knows what's caused it ?

Those clothes were always 3 sizes too small.

I'm a large. Anything less than a 2xl and I looked like a packed ham.

Maybe that's it.
