When it's a week before Thanksgiving and you hope it's at least in the 80's by then. It won't be, but you pretend anyway.

When it's spring break and you choose Snow Bowl or Sunrise instead of the beach because you're already tired of being hot.

You have no clue what to do with all the sweaters that you keep getting for Christmas.

Khaki shorts and your nice pair of flip flops are considered proper attire for going out to a restaurant.

You laugh, with an insane twist in your eye when you hear, "Pssshhh, but it's a dry eat."

and the average high for Thanksgiving Day is 71. There've been a few exaggerations on this thread, . I think that's the idea.

Yeah, I know. There have been a few posts, though, that seemed less about the fun of the thread and more about bashing Phoenix.

However, most of the posts have been pretty clever.

National Weather Service - NWS Phoenix

I wasn't trying to "bash Phoenix." Just trying to have some fun. But remember what the term average means. Here's a little exert from the link above, we had a very warm year last year in 2009:

A stronger than normal high pressure system has been situated over or near the region so far this month, resulting in abnormally warm temperatures. Through the 11th, the average high temperature in Phoenix was 88.7 °F, which tied as the warmest start to November on record (see table below). The average low temperature during the same period was 59.6 °F - the 6th warmest start on record. Two new record highs were set during this time (96 on the 3rd and 91 on the 10th). A trough of lower pressure will move into the region the next few days, bringing cooler temperatures with it (see forecast information at the bottom of the page).

Hence my Thanksgiving joke from earlier. As you can see on the 3rd. of November last year it was 96 degrees. My friends, family and I were laughing because we still had the a/c on and were wearing shorts. Not actually Holiday weather.

It was 81 on Thanksgiving last year, but from the 12th-25th the high had been in the 70's and even upper 60's. And last year was tied for third-warmest November on record.

Please give me proof where there's been temperatures in the 100's and snow within an hour drive of each other here in Arizona.

Unless you're exaggerating a bit... But that's a big over-exaggeration. I honestly don't know if it's possible here.

Please give you proof hu? Why should I have to? Hang out in the valley in March or October then jet up to flag the same day and watch a hail storm or a mild snow roll through.....it's not really that crazy, it happens.
