I've done some research and I can't seem to gauge the exact Korean American population in the area. Are there a lot of Korean specific supermarkets/restaurants/etc?
I'm Korean and live on the East side. It's not like CA here by any means but there are a few of us here. I go to LEE LEE .http://m.yelp.com/search?find_desc=K...=Phoenix%2C+AZ here are some restaurants.

I have not been to these places as I make my own food but you can try them out. I get most of my spices from Korea by mail.

Chandler has the largest percentage of Asians in the Valley. There are more Asians in Chandler than Black/African Americans. In 2010, 8 % of Chandler's population was Asian. Now, they are saying it's between 12-15% and it's growing. There are areas in Chandler that are entirely Asian but it's mostly Southeast Asian. Also, I found this interesting. Hindus make up the second largest non-Christian group in the Valley. They make up 2% of the religiously declared population which is more than the Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist population. For comparison, the Mormon population is 6%.

It's nothing like California. I'm Mexican American and grew up in Los Angeles where there are a lot more Asians. However, a lot of Asians from California are moving to the Phoenix metro and most seem to move to Chandler.

I'm a native from the area and have had lots of Asian friends over the years here. Like most people are saying Chandler/Gilbert area is gonna be your hot spot. I lived in the NW area and there is a solid amount there as well. I currently live in Tempe and the house behind me is Asians as well as two house down from me so lesson of the story is that you will find them everywhere, just concentrated in some areas more that others. Overall very welcoming of Asians in the PHX area. Just don't expect Cali type populations.
