In summer, getting off a plane just about anywhere but here is like getting socked in the face with a wet rag for us.
But I was directly responding to the poster that said they would prefer 100+ in Phoenix to 70 with high humidity. I lived in Phoenix my whole life. I moved to STL last August. The other day it was 81 with 66% humidity. It was humid and uncomfortable, but I'd take that over 105 with any humidity. And remember the person originally complaining about it was from the NE. You do adjust to the humidity as you experience it more.

I lived in the NE my whole life and still hate the humidity. Still complain about it and still not adjusted to it and dread it. I would take this 105 degree heat in AZ over NE nasty humid weather any day of the week.

Agreed. I grew up in New England, spent 14 yrs in Phoenix, and the last 15 yrs in Chicago. Can't wait to get back to the dry of the desert.

Now, ask me again after the 12th day in a row of 110°F+...

Can't afford the perfect climate (Maui), or even reasonably close (San Diego) - but Phoenix is a heck of a lot closer to MY idea of perfect than the Midwest.

It's currently 79 here with nearly 85% humidity, it was even higher yesterday over 90%.
