look at getting a private residence, they are reasonable and sometimes much cheaper than hotels. You even get a feel for the neighborhood. Look at VRBO.com here is an example $600/week Chandler Vacation Rental - VRBO 425560 - 2 BR Greater Phoenix Area Condo in AZ, Great Chandler Condo - Big, Bright and Newly Furnished

Great suggestion, but it's not available for next week. I will look for others. Thanks for the reply.

There's a bunch of new hotels near Chandler Fashion Center that may be more pricey because they are newer (Hilton, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites). Some of the older hotels in the area are Windmill Suites and Springhill Suites. There may be a couple of others, those are all within a mile of the Chandler Fashion Center. Punch those into Priceline or expedia

Check out the prices at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos. It's an old hotel, right in downtown Chandler. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. Surrounding area is very old, hence, not so nice. But. I've had clients stay there and they were very satisfied.

It's old, historic, even, but beautifully updated and maintained. And, the early bird dinners at the hotel during the week are delicious and a great value. Surrounding area is older, but lots of new stuff coming in. It's getting better, and is certainly not a reason not to stay at the hotel.

I've used Hotwire a few times this summer to get hotels in the Phoenix area.

Got the Holiday Inn Express at I-10 and Chandler Blvd for around $55/night (3*).

Also (maybe too long of a drive for you), I got the Hyatt Regency at Gainy Ranch in Scottsdale for $80/night (4.5*), and a Hilton in Scottsdale for $60/night (4*).

after city-data.com, hotwire is my most frequently visited site!...(well, not really)

if you haven't used it, read the rules, make sure you understand how it works, then go for it...check the written reviews before you accept a hotel...places vary....experience eventually helps....

Also with respect to Hotwire...

Some hotels have fees for parking, and higher-end places sometimes add a "resort fee". These are not included in the hotwire price, but if you click on the View Details it will mention these additional fees.
