The last study I saw on this said the brown cloud was mostly dust from construction activities. So it must be our monument to growth.

On my two trips out to Phoenix, I have yet to see the "smog". I seen smog in Los Angeles, but not Phoenix.

Must be. We're getting beautiful sunsets without the pollution - for now... So does Rocky Point. I don't know what it is, but there is something about this corner of the world... I don't think I've seen such gorgeous sunsets elsewhere.

In all honesty, Ive never felt AZs sunsets were anything extraordinary (and Ive seen MANY) that you cant see anywhere else. This may sound strange, but if you want to see some world class sunsets, go to Kentucky, no joke. My jaw has been dropped many times from their sunsets. Kansas has some superb ones too.

It's possible. Kentucky and Kansas are not exactly on top of my travel wish list, but if I ever get a chance to be there, I'll have the sunsets in mind.

Gee, have some mercy after all (I posted smog pics, didn't I)! Weather and nature are about the only things I do like here! Trying hard to say something positive for cryin' out loud! Otherwise my fellow Arizonans will have me for dinner!

Oh come on man now.... you are fired! The one thing that Arizona has that truly is world class, you disparage. You must not have been looking at the sunset, since your head is planted far up "you know where."

HAH! Im a sunset junkie, I photograph them just as much as anything else. Seriously, KS has better sunsets. Seriously, get over yourselves, AZ's sunsets are pale in comparison to alot of places, mainly because your guys' lack of clouds, which make a sunset all the better. Here are some I found right away from Kansas. Now, what were you saying?

OK, now that we got this subject out of the way, let's move on to dissecting your love-hate relationship with AZ!

P.S. The posted sunsets ARE beautiful.

LOL

Thanks. Last time I was in KS I was in the Flint Hills on a scenic overlook during sunset. My gosh was that the most amazing thing Ive ever seen. Fiery reds and oranges, canary yellow, baby blue, royal blue, neon yellow, hot pink, all mixed into one. I kicked myself all the way back to our campsite in MO because I didnt bring my camera because it was raining out earlier. Anyways, it was by far the most miraculous sunset ever, period.
