Hello All, I did not realize Albertsons on Loop 101 & 59th Ave is closed. We haven't visited my old supervisor at her store on Loop 101 & 59th Ave. The store is very slow. It was not enough customers.

Also, I remember what happened Albertsons on Greenway Rd & Tatum Blvd store is closed in a few years back. We have a busiest store at Desert Ridge Marketplace. Lots of customers who shops at my store. That's why I left. I cannot handle on it anymore. I no longer work at Albertsons. I used work there for 3 1/2 years. That's too much!! I no longer work for courtesy clerks. So now, I already accept a new job and I work at Safeway on 7th St & Glendale Ave. I works for Day Stocks. I am really like it. It was so much better than courtesy clerks. I put more cases of bottled water, and etc. That's part of my job.

Oh no an out of state grocery conglomerate is closing. I guess we're stuck with more local choices.

The closings happened a year ago... an incoherent poster resurrected this thread for reasons known only to his/her voices.

Please forgive me if this is being discussed in another thread somewhere - I haven't logged in for a couple of years...

When the Albertsons at 59th and the 101 was clearing its shelves, the signs said they would be moving to 67th and the 101. Are they there yet? (I can't find anything online about a new location) Did they close the Safeway there and move in? Or did they decide to close both stores permanently?

It is still a Safeway at 67th & 101, at least according to my sleuthing on Google Earth, the Albertson's website listing of store locations, and the Safeway website listing of store locations.

"It is still a Safeway at 67th & 101..."

So, my question is, did Albertsons close permanently or are they moving to another corner of 67th and 101? A look on Google earth doesn't show another area on that intersection besides where safeway and AJ's are that would be big enough for a store that size.
