I assume the boycott Glendale thing is to not patronize businesses in Glendale? While I understand some take their sports to an emotional level, I hate to see businesses who are just trying to earn a living/serving the community get boycotted by something they had nothing to do with. That to me is hurting an innocent bystander. And I'm guessing many businesses who potentially will lose money if they leave Westgate are just as frustrated. They
don't pay to build the stadiums themselves because the same sports fans who couldn't be bothered to concern themselves with a single social issue of actual importance will vent a spleen at office-holders to pay any price necessary to keep a franchise from moving - and hold it against them if they don't.
Education? Infrastructure? Those issues won't rouse them from their stupor. But a game on the field/court/ice? They'll pay through the nose for sporting events and they'll hold the feet of politicians to the fire if those politicians won't throw lots of public money at the billionaire owners.
