No. I would also choose Goodyear and Buckeye for my least favorite suburbs for the reasons I said.

Oh duh on my part. Sorry, I thought you were recommending them. You were nominating them for least favorite. I'm with you now!

There is no tithe in Goodyear and Buckeye and it is an hour closer to San Diego too !

I gotta go with Glendale. Large swaths are very rough areas. Even then, North Glendale is quite nice.

Surprised to see that Carefree got a vote. It's way north but really nice.

I'm actually in shock about Gilbert. Can someone please explain to me why they chose Gilbert? I don't see how anyone could like some of the suburbs listed better than Gilbert. I'm not saying gilbert is some amazing place, but it's not horrible. It's a great/safe community and if you want to be away from the city alongside not wanting to live around superficial people then Gilbert seems like a good option.

Haha thank you! Feel free to call me that

Yes that is true. If Maryvale was a suburb it would be winning this thread. But yes, Glendale is closest to it. Far western Maryvale (closest to the other suburbs) is not as bad as Maryvale's core which is close to Glendale Downtown ironically, only a couple miles away. I think Maryvale is almost even worse closer to Downtown Phoenix (I-10/I-17 loop), but that's pretty deep into Phoenix territory at that point.

Phoenix's other not so desirable neighborhoods, Alhambra and "Gunnyslope", are also pretty close to Glendale. South Phoenix however is closest to Tempe and Guadalupe, and Guadalupe is racking up some votes on this poll.

According to some of the other posters on this poll, they voted for Gilbert because so many people see it as desirable and the massive influx into that suburb. So people are so annoyed by Gilbert's popularity that they voted against it though some have mentioned Gilbert's conservatism as well. No one appears to have anything negative about Gilbert itself, such as suburb structure, amenities, schools, traffic, roads, etc.
