This nonsoon season seems to be pulling a complete 180 and at least partially making up for the MIA El Nino last winter. I'll take every drop we can get.

It's comical, it doesn't matter how much rain we get. The negative Nancies will never acknowledge it. I remember we had a month in June with below 100 degree temps not many Summers ago, and it was crickets around here. The complainers would not admit they were wrong and that not every summer is 118 every day. It's the same with the monsoons. We will get rain and they will still deny it.

Like this "nonsoon" We set a record last week in which which we received 2 inches of rain in one hour in parts of Phoenix. That's nearly 1/5 of our annual rainfall in an hour.

People almost never comment about positive things, people don't show up to vote or stage gatherings for things that are working well, they get up in arms when something is seen as negative which is why so many politicians work very hard to convince people something is awfully wrong so they can get a base fired up.

Looking out the window of my office here in South Chandler, incredible winds and dust. Haven't seen a dust storm like this in years. Looks like the storm is coming in time for lunch

Maybe where you are but usually when they show a wall of dust on TV coming in from the South, I have perfectly fine visibility in my area through it all, just an orange tint in the sky. This time it was cutting down visibility on the ground.

Hopefully we can make up for our rain deficit year to date. I also expect to get wet on the bicycle later and loving it! Phoenix is about the only place in the world where bicyclist love to be rained on

I'll believe it when I see it. In fact, I expect this event to be the same nonsoon bust that this whole season has been for the vast majority of the valley. We need just a few more days to set a record for the most days over 110 ever. That's something to get excited about.

So. Who else is enjoying all the rain and the cooler temps that the weather service has been predicting for a week now? Nonsoon, you win again!
