The question is what place near a large body of water isn't humid, I didn't say what place near water isn't hot. Last time I checked, humidity and warm temperatures are not correlated in any way.

And who doesn't want it to be warm where they're going to swim? Do you swim in unheated pools all winter long here? That's pretty much what San Diego ocean water is like in the middle of summer.

It's not THAT bad, our unheated pools get down to 55 in January

Sure, if you're a polar bear. 1 hour in 55 degree water and you're going to see Hypothermia start to set in.

You misunderstood, my point was the Pacific off San Diego in summer isn't as bad as an unheated pool here in winter. I would rather be in 68° than 55° water

The choice is never 55 or 68 though, if your pool is 55 and that means its winter here and the San Diego water is also in the 50's. When it's 68 there you've got much warmer pool water here or our lakes, rivers or Rocky Point.

Nothing I'm saying is a secret, you can find countless beach bum blogs asking about wet-suits for CA beaches. The water is cold there, we all know it. If it wasn't the air temperature would likely be much warmer, more like Florida.

Well crapola!!! It's supposed to be 100 degrees next Wednesday. I was going to start a new thread but I thought I'd revive this one instead. I've done my homework on wunderground.com and Phoenix usually hits the century mark during the first few days in May. Several years it's happened in the last week in April.

I dont think it's going to happen next Wednesday though. My vote is May 2nd. And remember, if you guess right you will get gobs of admiration and respect from people you will never ever meet.

If it hits, it will be a record. Current record Wednesday is 98° set in 1989. Normal high is 84°, so will be 16° above average!

Yeah, this sucks. 3 consecutive days hovering right around triple digits. Ugh. Well, at least I see 85 by week's end. Running a/c already is tiresome.
