Any regular commuters have any secrets to getting to MC Superior Court (parking garage/Jefferson and 8th) from the 303/Surprise area?
I did it a couple of years ago and it took over 2 hours. Needless to say I would not have been a very level headed juror if called.

My husband went end of last year or early this year (don't remember). It did not take him 2 hours and we are in Sun City Festival. They let him get out of the jury duty because he told them he is too old for this.

Return trip took less than 35 minutes. Could have just been a bad day going in.

Just looking for any (if there are) tips from regular commuters on how to possibly avoid some of the huge I-10 backups.

A coworker of mine used to live in Avondale and came across town on Mc Dowell or Van Buren to avoid the I-10. I can't speak from personal experience, but it worked better for her.

Getting there is only the half of it. Downtown traffic, body scanners, sitting for hours on a hard marble floor, other various indignities. Jury duty in Phoenix sucks.

I found that perplexing as well. I've been called to the Superior Court twice over the last 3 years. Never was I left to sit on a floor for hours (or at all).

I took the Metro bus from Sun City back and forth. There is no charge for jurors. It should explain it on your jury notice.

Interesting. Nothing on my notice about transport. I did look at Metro Park and Ride and figured I'd rather roll the dice, time wise, driving myself.

I can see something like that working. I even thought of taking 60.

In the end I'll probably just put on some good music and be grateful I don't do this often.
