Did Penzone secretly pay someone to have Sheriff Joe run again? Is there anyone else in law enforcement in the Phoenix area who couldn't give it a run?

I can’t believe 7 posters here would actually vote for him. My faith in humanity here on C-D is gone!

Joe needs to go away. Far, far, FAR away. It's nice to not have AZ headlining the news every other week with something stupid, arrogant or racist that we did.

I almost went with a "Yes" because if you think about it, there just aren't enough octogenarian's pardoned on federal charges running law enforcement operations...

Penzone is boring, and that's refreshing.

I will always vote for Arpaio as favorite anal-retentive garden gnome.

I voted for Arpaio every time he ran except the last time. I liked that he enforced the laws, and I didn't care if he profiled to apprehend illegal aliens. But he brought most of his issues upon himself because he never saw a tv camera he didn't want to stand in front of. And he really stayed a few years past his prime. I wish that he would have groomed a younger successor who could have run on much the same platform but operate in a lower profile than Arpaio did.

Trying to come back at 87 sounds a little crazy. I don't want to be cruel but his age may be catching up with his ability to make good decisions. I wish him well in retirement and hope he enjoys the rest of his life enjoying his family and what ever else he likes to do.

I'm hoping that everybody who has a conservative dollar to donate in the 2020 election cycle gives that dollar to Arpaio.

Is that Joe's campaign slogan?

You’re going to vote for some insane sheriff who has ruined this state’s reputation and therefore it’s economic future because what, it’s refreshing?

The nerve of some people, can’t believe 14 people voted yes on this.
